Welcome to the Languedoc-Roussillon vineyard

“The Christ did not change wine in water, but water in wine” tells a proverb of this region, seeming to claim a divine benediction. It is true that the vineyard of Languedoc-Roussillon is particularly cherished by heaven. Stretching over 5 departments, Aude, Gard, Hérault, Pyrénées-Orientales and Lozère, it is the biggest vineyard in the world with its 160000 hectares, which 11600 are declared in AOC (French top quality wines). From Lion gulf sea to Pyrenean steep balconies, it presents a remarkable landscapes diversity that gives wines as different as the sumptuous Muscat de Rivesaltes or the cheerful Blanquette de Limoux, first sparkling wine in the world.
